Associate Style Guides Designer

Calling all creatives! Sanrio is looking for an Associate Designer, Style Guides to help bring our beloved characters and joyful design world to life across consumer products, retail, licensing, and marketing. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Torrance, CA, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home days. If you love kawaii design, illustration, trends, and turning sweet ideas into polished creative assets, this could be your next dream role.

In this role, you’ll create original graphics, illustrations, patterns, character poses, expressions, and style guide assets that support Sanrio’s consumer products, retail, and licensing initiatives. You’ll help develop evergreen, core, and trend style guides, prepare production-ready files, support creative pitches with presentations and mockups, and ensure every deliverable feels fresh, thoughtful, on‑brand, and irresistibly cute.

What you’ll bring to the table

2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, illustration, licensing, consumer products, or a related creative field.

An AA in Graphic Design, Illustration, Visual Communications, or a related field; BA/BFA preferred.

Strong illustration, layout, typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling skills.

Experience creating style guides, brand assets, or consumer product graphics.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; 3D modeling is a plus.

A collaborative, detail-loving mindset with strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.

Please note that this is a hybrid position - not remote. You MUST have your own transportation and be able to come into our Torrance office at least twice per week to collaborate with the team.

Salary: $65k-$70k per year
