Frontend UI/UX Developer Intern Job at Pixoate in Brooklyn

Work with Pixoate's design and engineering teams on real interfaces used across our AI-powered creative toolkit. You will turn product requirements and design ideas into responsive components, test interaction details and learn how usability, accessibility and frontend implementation fit together.

This internship suits students, recent graduates and self-taught developers or designers who can demonstrate curiosity and care through personal projects, college work or a portfolio.

No professional experience required. Personal projects, college work and demonstrated skills are welcome.

What you will do

Turn wireframes and product requirements into responsive interfaces

Build reusable components with React and Next.js

Apply visual hierarchy, spacing, typography and interaction patterns

Test interfaces across screen sizes, browsers and keyboard workflows

Improve accessibility and usability with practical feedback

Collaborate with designers and engineers during review

Document component behavior and design decisions

What we are looking for

HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals

Interest in both frontend implementation and UI/UX design

A personal, college or portfolio project you can explain

Attention to visual detail and user experience

Willingness to learn React, Next.js, TypeScript and accessible design

Reliable communication in a fully remote team

Nice to have

React, Next.js or TypeScript

Figma or another interface-design tool

Tailwind CSS or another design system

Responsive design and accessibility testing

Git and collaborative development workflows
