The start date is ASAP for this ongoing contract position.Job Title: Content Creator / Art Director Location-Type: Remote Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: Ongoing contract Compensation Range: $40/hr – $45/hr W2Job Description: Create compelling social media content by translating copy and business stories into strong visual concepts, selecting or creating the right imagery, and bringing ideas to life across social platforms.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Develop visual concepts for social media content based on copy, messaging, and campaign objectives.Identify and select strong imagery that effectively communicates the story or message.Art direct static social posts, graphics, reels, animation, and other visual content.Create and develop AI-generated imagery and provide clear creative direction for desired visuals.Develop multiple creative options and iterate based on client feedback.Create content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook across both paid and organic social.Stay current on social media trends and translate relevant trends into creative concepts.Partner closely with copywriters and creative team members to develop cohesive social content.Present visual concepts and creative options to internal teams and clients.Work through multiple rounds of feedback while maintaining strong creative judgment.Help bring complex products, ideas, and stories to life through compelling visual storytelling.Requirements:Must-Haves: 4–6 years of experience in content creation, art direction, graphic design, or a related creative role.Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling skills.Experience creating content specifically for social media.Strong understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn, with some Facebook experience.Ability to look at copy or a story and determine the appropriate visual concept to communicate it.Experience selecting and directing imagery for social content.Ability to develop multiple creative concepts and iterate based on feedback.Strong understanding of current social media trends and visual content styles.Comfortable working collaboratively with copywriters and creative teams.Strong communication skills and the ability to explain creative concepts.Ability to work effectively with clients who provide significant feedback and direction.Strong creative judgment and attention to detail.Nice-to-Haves: Agency experience.Experience creating AI-generated imagery or directing AI image creation.Experience with reels, animation, and short-form video.Experience creating paid and organic social content.Experience working with construction, utility, manufacturing, or other blue-collar audiences.Familiarity with tools such as Claude or other AI creative platforms.
