A global financial firm is expanding its talent acquisition team and looking for experienced

Technical Sourcers

to support high-priority engineering searches. This is a hands-on sourcing position for someone who enjoys the investigative side of recruiting-mapping talent markets, identifying hard-to-find candidates, testing different outreach approaches, and using pipeline data to continuously refine their strategy. You’ll work alongside recruiters and business leaders to identify and engage technical talent across the U.S. and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop talent pipelines for software engineering and other technical searches

Translate hiring needs into targeted sourcing plans and candidate profiles

Conduct market mapping and identify talent across competitors and relevant industries

Source candidates through LinkedIn, GitHub, internal databases, ATS platforms, and additional research tools

Create customized outreach that generates interest from passive candidates

Evaluate potential candidates and conduct initial qualification before introducing them to recruiting partners

Partner with recruiters throughout searches to evaluate pipeline quality and adjust sourcing efforts as needed

Analyze response rates, pipeline activity, and conversion data to determine the effectiveness of different sourcing approaches

Provide market insights around talent availability, candidate expectations, compensation, and competitor activity

Support searches primarily in New York and London, with opportunities to work on hiring needs in Hong Kong and Singapore

Ideal Background

2+ years of technical sourcing, recruiting, talent research, talent intelligence, or related experience

Demonstrated experience identifying and engaging software engineering or other technical talent

Familiarity with engineering functions and the ability to understand differences between technical profiles

Strong research skills with an interest in uncovering candidates beyond traditional or obvious talent pools

Ability to take a complex search and independently determine where and how to find the right talent

Data-driven approach to sourcing and pipeline management

Strong candidate outreach and written communication skills

Comfortable working on several searches at once and adapting to changing hiring priorities

Collaborative approach to working with recruiters, hiring managers, and other stakeholders
