Provide support to a department or unit. The incumbent in this position will work on an as needed basis.
The Department of Music is made up of 26 full-time faculty and seven part-time instructors. It offers a comprehensive music program whose faculty and students present over 150 performances a year. The Department is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The incumbent will perform with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra and/or other VSU ensembles for all rehearsals and performances as assigned.
Typical Allocation of Duties:
Coordinate activities within a department - 40
Create, develop, and implement activities to achieve department objectives.
Achieve goals - 20
Work to accomplish the goals of the department through campus and community outreach, program success, and maintaining compliance.
Provide customer service - 20
Communicate effectively with university constituents and customers by explaining instructions, answering questions, and providing solutions.
Administrative support - 20
Provide support to a department including but not limited to clerical duties, data gathering, technical support, event scheduling, etc.
Required Experience: High school diploma and one (1) year of related work experience.
$20/hr
