Seeking a detail-oriented Sports Multiplatform Editor, this full-time position will manage the copy editing and formatting of sports stories for both web and print, ensuring audience engagement while working remotely from the Puget Sound area.
Key responsibilities
Curating and producing the Seattletimes.com sports homepage
Copy-editing sports stories for web and print publication
Producing digital news alerts and email newsletters
Required qualifications
At least 1 year of experience working on a sports digital or copy desk at a major metro news organization
College degree or equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience
Strong copy editing skills and expertise in digital production
Solid news judgment and familiarity with pro and college sports
Familiarity with web publishing and analytics tools such as WordPress and Google Analytics
