Full service marketing agency based in Philadelphia is searching for a Public Relations Account Manager to cover a maternity leave. A seasoned professional in the public relations space you will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients. This includes developing and executing public relations strategies, managing media relations, overseeing client communications, coordinating agency resources and ensuring successful delivery of PR programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic counsel.

Lead client meetings, prepare agendas and present recommendations and campaign results.

Ensure projects remain on schedule, within scope and aligned with client objectives.

Identify opportunities to expand services and support overall account growth.

Develop and implement integrated public relations and communications strategies.

Create annual PR plans and campaign-specific PR plans

Align PR activities with broader marketing, advertising, social media and business goals.

Monitor industry trends, current events and emerging opportunities relevant to clients.

Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, producers, influencers and industry publications.

Research and develop media lists and targeted outreach strategies.

Pitch story ideas, secure media coverage and coordinate interviews.

Track, monitor and report media placements and coverage results.

Respond to media inquiries and facilitate client spokesperson opportunities.

Bylined thought leadership content

Award submissions

Executive talking points

Q&A documents

Client messaging materials

Social media content and campaign copy across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and emerging platforms

Develop integrated content calendars that align public relations, social media, and marketing initiatives.

Create engaging content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, thought leadership, and lead generation objectives.

Collaborate with creative and/or social teams on social media graphics, short-form videos, and other digital content assets.

Assist with community management, including responding to comments, messages, and online inquiries in alignment with approved brand voice and messaging.

Leverage social media channels to amplify earned media coverage, events, announcements, and thought leadership content.

Ensure all content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with client messaging, brand standards, and strategic objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.

5+ years of public relations, communications, social media or agency experience.

Strong media relations experience with demonstrated success securing earned media coverage.

Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media content strategies across multiple platforms.

Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.

Experience developing strategic communications plans.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze content performance metrics and use insights to optimize communications strategies.

Experience with media monitoring, reporting, and PR software tools preferred.
