The Music Department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a part-time Music Accompanist position.
This position plays an important role within the operations of our cocurricular music program. They will follow the lead of our Director of Cocurricular Music and assist in the development of the choir.
This position will:

Play full and sectional accompaniment; provide high-level musical instruction assistance in notes, rhythms, and phrasing, as needed.
Accompany University Choir during warm-ups, rehearsals, at concerts, and other special events.
Collaborate with the director on decisions regarding rehearsal direction, hiring/auditioning soloists and extra musicians as needed, recruitment initiatives, and aesthetic choices within chosen repertoire.
Maintain a high level of professionalism in all communications with students and the director.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree
Experience as an accompanist.
Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree
Extensive experience as an accompanist
Compensation

Hourly wage is $40.00 - $80.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.
