CloudWalk is hiring: Brand Creative Copywriter in New York

CloudWalk · New York, NY, USA ·

Job type:
Seasonal

Job Title

Join us at CloudWalk, where we're not just engineering solutions; we're building a smarter, AI-driven future for payments—together.
What You'll Do

Set the foundation. On brands still being defined, help make the calls that stick: what they stand for, how they sound, what they will and won't say.
Come back with an idea, not a draft. Take a brief, or a half-formed problem with no brief at all, and return with a concept worth arguing about.
Own campaigns end to end. Propose the seasonal calendar, build the concepts, write them, defend them with stakeholders, and stay with them until they are live.
Write for film and for real people. Real merchants, not actors. Brief the casting, write the question guides, listen to hours of footage, find the line nobody scripted, script the cut and turn feedback around fast.
Write long form. Brand films, documentaries, manifestos and editorial pieces — the work that takes time and rewards it. Formats where the idea has to hold for minutes, not seconds.
Build the editorial line. Define the recurring narratives, proprietary formats and voice that make our social feel authored instead of assembled.
Turn product into story. Take a technical capability and find the human tension inside it, without dumbing it down or overselling it.
Bring the brand into the world. Concept events and activations, and own the content around them: what we say before, during and after.
Keep the voice alive. Treat voice and tone as a living system — guidelines, reference libraries and AI context packs that let designers, growth and social move fast without diluting the brand.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI, storytelling and digital culture to bring fresh thinking and edge to our creative process.
What You Need to Succeed

A portfolio with range and a through-line — campaigns, film, long form, social, product, editorial — with a consistent point of view running through all of it.
Range across lengths. You can write a headline and a ten-minute script, and both are good.
Conceptual thinking. You can start from the smallest of briefs, and you push past the brief when you are given one.
Craft in execution. You write the idea and the line and the caption, and all three are good.
Cultural repertoire beyond advertising. You read, watch and listen widely, and it shows in what you make.
Work made for platforms, not adapted to them.
Ownership. You create structure where there is none and you don't wait for permission to make progress.
Comfort with real production, real people and real deadlines.
Proven experience using AI tools to ideate, create or scale creative work, with a clear philosophy on where it sharpens the work and where it flattens it.
Fluent PT-BR, advanced or fluent EN.
Availability to work full-time.
Nice to Have

Experience with documentary storytelling, long-form editorial, or anything where the best line came from someone who isn't a copywriter.
Experience with Payments / Financial sectors is a plus.
Experience building a brand from close to zero.
