Senior Developmental Editor

Serving as the editorial lead, the full-time Senior Developmental Editor will perform developmental edits on multiple book projects, ensuring editorial excellence while collaborating with authors and industry professionals in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities

Organizes and manages the editorial process for at least fifty book projects annually, ensuring adherence to timelines and project goals
Collaborates with authors and external vendors, maintaining clear communication to protect project scope, budget, and schedule
Completes line edits and final content reviews for quality assurance, providing project status updates to internal stakeholders

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
5+ years of experience in written content editorial, preferably in business-related categories
Fluency in The Chicago Manual of Style and familiarity with industry-standard publishing tools
Proven project management experience with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong background in nonfiction publishing, particularly in business, finance, and self-help genres
