Job Description
QVID Talent Solutions is recruiting three Web Application Developers for a software development firm supporting mission-critical government and defense operations in Washington, D.C.
This frontend-focused position is ideal for an engineer who can build sophisticated, reliable applications that transform large datasets into tools for public-sector decision-making. The applications support operational workflows such as common operating pictures, alert-triaging inboxes, mapping and visualization, and resource-allocation planning.
What You'll Do
•Architect and build intuitive interfaces for complex, data-intensive workflows.
•Develop applications that are accessible to both technical and non-technical users.
•Work directly with users to understand operational needs and identify product gaps.
•Collaborate with teammates to design user experiences for intricate, high-stakes workflows.
•Scope technical solutions and identify practical, incremental paths for delivering new features.
•Independently own projects and features throughout the complete product lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, maintenance, and improvement.
•Own the APIs and schemas supporting your frontend work while partnering closely with backend engineers.
•Address technical challenges involving mapping, data visualization, real-time collaboration, application performance, and complex state management.
Tech Stack
The primary technology stack includes TypeScript, React, JavaScript, a shared component library, open-source and internal development tools, and standard CI/CD systems for building, testing, and deployment.
Location: Washington, D.C.
Starting Salary: $135,000 plus RSUs
Relocation assistance is available.
Requirements
Two to five years of frontend or full-stack software engineering experience.
•Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
•Demonstrated experience building complex frontend applications, including data-intensive user interfaces, mapping or visualization tools, real-time collaborative applications, or interconnected application systems.
•Experience independently owning and delivering projects or features through the complete product lifecycle: design, development, launch, and maintenance.
•Strong computer science fundamentals.
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
•Experience working at a high-bar technology startup or major technology company.
•Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
•Must be based in or willing to relocate to Washington, D.C.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience or a strong interest in government or defense technology.
•Founder experience, significant open-source contributions, or strong extracurricular technical involvement through hackathons, campus organizations, or independent projects.
