As a

2027 University Intern - Corporate Communications , you will gain hands‑on experience through meaningful projects that help build your technical and professional skills at Phillips 66. Our Communications and Public Affairs organization is a central function that includes company-wide internal and external communications such as global employee communications, crisis, and media relations, brand and reputation management including philanthropy, sponsorships, and content management. We design and deliver strong global communications that are aligned with the company’s overall business strategy. In addition, the team upholds best‑in‑class communications team values such as demonstrating transparency, ethics and effectiveness in all work. This internship opportunity will be located in Houston, TX with expectations of frequent travel to other Phillips 66 field sites.
What You’ll Do

Assignments that develop technical and professional skills, and will involve collaboration with various Phillips 66 functions
Written and verbal communication through multiple channels
Summer Internship Activities May Include The Following

Orientation and training events, field trips, social activities, weekly seminars and opportunities to meet and interact with functional leaders.
Participating in continuous coaching conversations with your manager, who will provide direction throughout your internship.
Provided with an assigned mentor for further guidance and to help you with the technical challenges of your role and give assistance in navigating through the day‑to‑day questions regarding working in the corporate world.
Giving a presentation at the end of the summer to senior business leaders and key stakeholders. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate what you learned in your internship and provide insight on your experience.
What You’ll Bring – Required

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Public Relations, Advertising, Communications, Journalism, Visual Communications, or equivalent field of study
Greater than 60 hours of earned college credit
Graduation date of December 2027 or later
Available for a minimum of eleven continuous weeks
Available to frequently travel (25-40%) to Phillips 66 field sites to complete assignments
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
Strong writing and/or oral communication skills
Previous internship or co‑op participant in related industry
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
This position has a pay range of $2,397.00 - $2,860.00 bi‑weekly, dependent on a candidate's degree type and expected graduation date.
