Job Title: School of Communications Podcast Studio Production Assistant
Department: School of Communications
Student Employment Type: Federal Work-Study
Responsibilities Monitors the Quinnipiac University Podcast studio in the CCE building and/or the Dome
Works with podcasters to maintain the room’s cleanliness and orderliness
Assists podcasters with engineering podcasts (live-mixing sound, camera switching, setting up mics, setting up Adobe Audition).
Ensures podcasters comply with studio rules
Other related duties as needed
Qualifications Knowledge of audio and video recording processes and software
Working knowledge of Hyperdeck Blackmagic switchers, general camera operation
Understanding of podcasting and podcast culture
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to think and act independently
Hours of Position 4 – 6 per week
