The ideal candidate has a track record of successfully engaging social audiences and converting users across digital platforms.Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Collaborate with the Director of Digital Content and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute social media strategyBe informed of the latest social media trends, algorithms, and other factors that may impact social performance and update best practicesEdit platform-appropriate videos from existing ANF content to maximize reach and gain new audiencesMonitor social accounts for story ideasDevelop the social voice for the newsroomCollaborate with and coach on-air talent in development of social media presenceRegularly review metrics and adjust strategies accordinglyQuickly adapt to breaking news situations and ensure the social audience is informedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field requiredExperience in a broadcast newsroom preferredMinimum of five years' experience as a digital social media editor or content producerStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of AP-styleAbility to edit video in digital formatsAbility to create and edit graphicsAbility to work well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlinesAbility to work on multiple projects at the same time; manage long-term projects while meeting daily deadlinesWork well independently and as part of a teamStrong understanding of journalistic principles and standard practicesGray Media provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
