Position Overview
Winston Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented Web Content Specialist for a high-priority, part-time contract assignment supporting a premier mission-driven organization in Lower Manhattan. In this hands-on role, you will partner directly with the digital content and communications teams to support an upcoming website relaunch, content migration, manual quality assurance (QA), and ongoing day-to-day web publishing.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Page Building & Publishing: Build, update, and format articles, resource pages, and landing pages using existing WordPress templates, block editors, and design standards.

Content & Asset Migration: Systematically transfer legacy articles, documents, PDFs, and multimedia assets to the newly developed site structure.

Manual QA & User Journey Testing: Conduct thorough testing across both desktop and mobile viewports; validate end-to-end user journeys, forms, and navigation to flag broken links, layout rendering errors, and missing media.

Digital Asset Preparation: Crop, resize, and optimize images for web performance and responsive design using Photoshop, Figma, or alternative graphic editing tools.

Issue Tracking & Collaboration: Document and log QA defects, track daily progress, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless launch.

Candidate Qualifications

WordPress Proficiency: Demonstrated, hands‑on experience creating, editing, and formatting web content directly within a WordPress CMS environment.

Image Editing Skills: Comfortable resizing, cropping, and compressing digital assets for the web using Photoshop, Figma, Photopea, GIMP, or Affinity.

Work Style: Self‑directed, organized, and proactive in managing task lists and communicating project roadblocks.

Pluses (Not Required): Prior experience with website migrations, digital asset management, or web accessibility (WCAG/ADA) standards.

Schedule & On-Site Logistics

Hours: 20 hours per week (5 hours per day, Monday through Thursday).

Work Arrangement: 100% on‑site at our client’s offices in Lower Manhattan (Financial District).
