Build Technical Documentation That Supports Mission-Critical Technology
We are seeking an
Advanced Technical Writing Associate
in our
Bloomington, MN
location.
As the Advanced Technical Writing Associate, you’ll be responsible for creating, planning, writing and editing complex operational, instructional, interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs), maintenance or test procedures.
This will entail documenting engineering processes and specifications by editing software developer and engineering staff’s notes and procedures and applying formatting in order to support the writing and publication of hardware and software test procedures.
You’ll manage complex tasks from inception to end, proactively communicating the status of projects to the technical documentation lead.

What You Bring to the Table
An
Associate’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Distinct knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
Strong written communication skills and the ability to tailor communication to the target audience through effective listening and interviewing skills
Distinct ability to research highly technical information and interpret data
Ability to read engineering drawings
Experience with
CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks
Distinct understanding of
DoD MIL standards and style guides
and the ability to adhere to and implement such standard in technical documentation

Education & Experience
Associate's degree in a related specialized area or field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required, plus
3 years relevant work experience .
Clearance Requirements
Applicants selected may be subject to a
U.S. Government security investigation
and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities,
U.S. citizenship is required .
