Role Description
This full-time, on-site 2D Artist role is based in Jarrell, TX. The 2D Artist will create high-quality 2D art assets for social casino and casual mobile games, including characters, environments, icons, UI elements, and promotional artwork. Daily responsibilities include interpreting creative briefs, collaborating with game designers, UX designers, and engineers, and iterating on visual concepts to support gameplay and player engagement. The role involves working within established art styles while proposing new visual directions, preparing assets for implementation, and ensuring consistency across multiple platforms. The 2D Artist will also participate in peer reviews, respond to feedback constructively, and help maintain a cohesive visual identity across the SciPlay portfolio.

Qualifications

Strong 2D art skills with experience in character design, environment art, and prop design for games.

Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other digital painting or vector software.

Ability to work within existing art styles while contributing original visual concepts and iterations.

Experience preparing game-ready assets, including optimization, layering, and file organization for development teams.

Understanding of mobile game aesthetics, UI/UX considerations, and player-centric visual design.

Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand and style guidelines, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with artists, designers, producers, and engineers.

Relevant portfolio demonstrating polished 2D game art; experience in social casino or casual games is a plus.

Preferred education: degree or formal training in Art, Game Design, Illustration, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
