Precision Social · Brooklyn, NY, USA · Remote ·

About Precision Social
Precision Social is a social media and content production agency. We build and execute content strategy for brands that want their story told well, and we produce the photo and video that carries it. Our teams work in pods — a Content Strategy Lead, a Social Media Manager, and a Content Producer — and we hold a high standard for craft, communication, and follow-through.

Our values guide how we work: Redwood Thinking (build what outlasts us), Let Picasso Paint (genius recognizes genius), and Burn the Forest Floor (greatness demands courage).

The Role
We're hiring a Post-Production Editor to own the edit bay. You'll take raw video footage and still photos from our production shoots and turn them into finished, platform-ready deliverables across every client we serve: short-form vertical video, long-form brand pieces, and retouched photography.

This is a deadline-driven editing role. You are not the person shooting; you are the person who makes what was shot look excellent, consistently, on time, and on brand. If you take real pride in a clean cut, a tight caption burn, and color that matches across a whole batch, you'll do well here.

What You'll Do
Video Editing

Edit short-form vertical content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) and long-form brand video from raw shoot footage

Cut to brand voice and platform best practices: pacing, hooks, retention structure

Build and burn captions, lower thirds, titles, and simple motion graphics

Sound design, audio leveling, music selection from licensed libraries, and voiceover sync

Color correction and grading for consistency across a shoot and across a client's library

Deliver in correct specs and aspect ratios per platform and per client

Photo Editing

Cull, sequence, and select from full shoot galleries

Color correction, exposure, and white-balance consistency across batches

Retouching: skin, product, blemish and distraction removal, straightening, cropping

Build and maintain per-client presets and export recipes so output stays consistent shoot to shoot

Asset Management and Workflow

Ingest and organize and stills according to Company file structure

Maintain naming conventions and folder architecture so any team member can find any asset

Track all editing work and time in Asana

Collaboration and Revisions

Work directly with Content Strategy Leads and Content Producers on creative direction, shot lists, and edit intent

Turn around revision rounds quickly and accurately, incorporating internal and client feedback

Flag missing coverage, technical problems, or unusable footage early — before a deadline is at risk

Meet the Company's communication response standards during working hours

What Success Looks Like
First 30 days: You know our file structure, our clients, our brand standards, and our delivery specs. You're editing short-form independently.

First 90 days: You're handling the full post workload for assigned pods with minimal direction, hitting turnaround targets, and your first-pass edits require fewer revision rounds than when you started.

First 6 months: You're improving the process, not just working inside it — better presets, faster templates, cleaner handoffs.
