Job Title: Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design Intern Location: Huntsville, AL
Position Overview Canvas is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Marketing, Communications & Graphic Design Intern to assist with graphic design, content development, digital marketing, and corporate communications. This role offers hands-on experience creating materials that strengthen the Canvas brand and engage employees, customers, and prospective talent.
Responsibilities Create graphics for social media, recruiting, events, and internal communications
Design and update flyers, brochures, capability sheets, presentations, signage, and other marketing materials
Assist with social media content, website updates, and the weekly employee newsletter
Draft, edit, and proofread short-form communications
Maintain brand consistency and organize marketing assets and templates
Assist with photography, video, trade shows, recruiting events, and other marketing initiatives
Monitor social media engagement and assist with content recommendations to drive engagement
Assist with special projects and day-to-day Marketing, Communications and Government Relations needs
Qualifications Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a related field
Strong design, writing, and communication skills
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with others, and take initiative
Preferred: Portfolio or work samples demonstrating graphic design, marketing, or communications experience. Photography, video editing, social media, or website experience is a plus.
