This role works closely with customers, engineers, developers, and subject matter experts to transform complex mission requirements into effective, engaging, and efficient user experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong visualization and interaction design skills with a collaborative mindset to deliver innovative solutions that enhance mission success. What You'll DoLead the planning, design, and development of user experiences for mission systems, applications, devices, and toolsEstablish user interface and interaction design standards that promote consistency and usabilityCollaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine user requirementsDevelop wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and screen designs that communicate user workflows and application functionalityParticipate in design trade-off discussions with software developers, engineers, and subject matter expertsEvaluate existing toolsets and recommend improvements to enhance user experience and operational effectivenessApply visualization and human-centered design principles to create intuitive, accessible, and engaging interfacesHelp customers envision and adopt new interaction techniques, workflows, and technologiesWork closely with development teams throughout the software lifecycle to ensure design intent is successfully implementedIncorporate user feedback and usability findings into iterative design improvementsCreate design documentation and user experience artifacts that support development and stakeholder communicationAdvocate for usability best practices and user-centered design across mission programsWhat We're Looking For Required QualificationsActive TS/SCI Clearance with a current Maryland PolygraphExperience leading user experience, interaction design, or user interface design effortsExperience gathering and translating user requirements into intuitive design solutionsExperience creating wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and screen designsExperience collaborating with software developers, engineers, customers, and multidisciplinary teamsStrong understanding of user-centered design, usability principles, and information visualizationExperience facilitating design discussions and balancing user needs with technical constraintsExcellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly experiencesTen years' experience in User Experience Design. Five years' experience within the last 10 years experience leading project life cycle design. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional User Experience Design experience on projects with similar design may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Interested? We'd love to connect.
