Position Summary The Photographer supports the college’s brand development and strategic marketing initiatives through high-quality visual storytelling. Situated in the Marketing and Communications Office, this position is responsible for planning and executing photography projects that promote enrollment, student engagement, workforce and community partnerships, and institutional advancement. The Photographer reports to the Creative Director and collaborates closely with marketing, communications, enrollment, academic departments, and event teams to produce compelling visual content across print and digital platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities Plans and executes photography for campus events, student life activities, academic programs, ceremonies, and community engagements.
Takes high-quality images for social media, digital advertising campaigns, print publications, website content, and recruitment materials.
Produces professional portraiture of students, faculty, staff, leadership, and community partners for marketing and institutional use.
Collaborates with marketing and creative teams to translate campaign strategies into effective visual assets.
Conducts pre-shoot planning, including concept development, shot lists, location scouting, lighting setup, and scheduling coordination.
Performs post-production editing, retouching, color correction, and optimization for multiple platforms and formats.
Ensures photography aligns with institutional brand standards, visual identity guidelines, and accessibility best practices.
Manages and organizes digital photography assets, including metadata tagging and archiving within the college’s asset management system.
Maintains and safeguards photography equipment, lighting gear, and studio resources.
Coordinates logistics for on-campus and off-campus shoots, including transportation of equipment.
Works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events and enrollment activities.
Supports advertising and recruitment campaigns by delivering timely, platform-optimized imagery.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
