Garage Manager / MOT Tester - Uxbridge / West London

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced

Garage Manager / MOT Tester to join a well-established, family-run automotive business in

Uxbridge / West London.

This is a hands-on management position, offering the opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the branch while continuing to carry out MOT testing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the garage and ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard.

- Carrying out MOT testing, primarily during the afternoons.

- Managing customer bookings for servicing, repairs and MOTs.

- Preparing quotations, pricing jobs and completing invoices.

- Managing daily cashing-up and banking procedures.

- Ordering and sourcing parts from suppliers.

- Monitoring workflow and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently.

- Preparing and submitting monthly management reports.

- Maintaining high standards of customer service.

- Supporting and managing the garage team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful

The successful Garage Manager / MOT Tester will have:
- A valid

MOT Tester Licence.

- A minimum of

2 years' experience in a similar management role.

- Proven experience within the automotive industry.

- Strong leadership and management skills.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.

- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

- The confidence to manage the day-to-day operations of a busy garage.

- A professional, reliable and proactive approach to work.
