About the Role

As the Americas Regional Product Stewardship Manager, you will serve as a key Strategic Business Partner to regional Vice Presidents and business leaders. Beyond technical oversight, you will embed early in strategic decision-making processes to anticipate regulatory impacts across new markets, acquisitions (M&A), and new product development (NPD)–turning compliance into a clear competitive advantage.

In this role, you will lead regional strategy implementation and best practices, direct a dedicated team of specialists, manage the regional Product Stewardship budget, and foster a unified, high-performing culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership & Leadership:

Serve as a trusted advisor to Business Area VPs on product lifecycle risks and opportunities. Direct, mentor, and develop a regional team of Product Stewardship Managers, Specialists, and SDS Authors.

Regulatory Compliance & Market Access:

Ensure total regulatory compliance for domestic, export, and import product portfolios across the Americas. Proactively monitor emerging regional chemical regulations and brief product/market managers on business impacts.

Risk Assessment & Portfolio Management:

Oversee comprehensive health, environmental, and liability risk assessments across the portfolio, including for new product developments and M&A initiatives.

Customer & Safety Communications:

Lead the delivery of accurate Safety Data Sheets (SDS), safety bulletins, and timely responses to regional customer inquiries.

Budget & Resource Management:

Define, allocate, and manage the regional Product Stewardship budget, optimizing internal resource allocation, software compliance tools, and third-party consultancy spend.

Operational Excellence & Collaboration:

Implement group-wide policies, tools, and processes in partnership with the Global Center of Excellence. Represent the business on external industry association technical boards and committees.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.

Experience:

10+ years of progressive professional experience, including at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role within the chemical, mineral, or process industries.

Regulatory Expertise:

Strong working knowledge of global and regional chemical product regulations and compliance software/tools.

Leadership & Change Management:

Proven track record of managing technical teams, driving organizational change, and navigating complex matrix environments.

Work Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
