Social Media Coordinator

Bring fresh, creative ideas and a full strategic plan for growing our social presence — you should stay on top of current trends, formats, and platform algorithms and know how to apply them to AHL
Develop and run a content strategy tailored to seasons of work — spring/summer hydroseeding, hurricane/storm recovery, DOT projects, and holiday lighting
Visit job sites near Waynesville and throughout our service area in Western NC to shoot photos, video, and short-form content of crews and equipment at work
Create reels, before/after transformations, time-lapses, and behind-the-scenes content that shows the scale and craft of what we do
Manage day-to-day posting and community engagement across Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms, using a scheduling tool like Hootsuite or Buffer to plan and maintain a content calendar
Write engaging captions and respond promptly to comments and messages
Track basic performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) and adjust strategy based on what's working
Collaborate with our marketing contractor and ownership on lead-generation campaigns and paid social efforts
Skills Lives near Asheville / WNC / Waynesville, NC, and willing/able to travel to job sites regularly — this is essential, as most content originates on-site
Strong portfolio or examples of social content you've created (Instagram/TikTok/Reels experience a must)
Deep, current knowledge of social media trends, formats, and what's actually driving engagement right now — this is a must, not a nice-to-have
Highly creative with fresh ideas — able to pitch a real content/growth plan, not just execute a posting schedule
Drone photography/videography.
Comfortable working outdoors, around equipment and active construction/landscaping sites
Eye for storytelling — able to turn dirt, grass, and machinery into compelling content
Self-starter who can plan a content calendar and execute independently
Basic photo/video editing skills (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)
Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite)
Reliable transportation
Nice to have: experience with a trades, construction, or landscaping business.
