A1 Sound Engineer

The Apollo Theater is looking for a A1 Sound Engineer for VAPE! The Grease Parody. Vape! is a tenant of the Apollo Theater and general managed by Visceral Entertainment.

Pay is $120/per show (covers 4 hour call).

We are looking for a sub mixer on Sunday, September 20th at 2:30pm (1:00pm Crew Call), and you would need to be available for 2-3 performances of training in the week leading up.

You would take over the position beginning with Tuesday, October 27th 7:30pm performance.

Thursdays @ 7:30PM

Fridays @ 7:30PM

Saturdays @ 2:30PM & 7:30PM

Sundays @ 2:30PM

Tuesdays @ 7:30PM

Wednesdays @ 7:30PM

Thursdays @ 7:30PM

Fridays @ 7:30PM

Saturdays @ 2:30PM & 7:30PM

Sundays @ 2:30PM

All shows use the Yamaha QL5 sound board.

Responsibilities:

Mix 8 wireless microphones and backing tracks for productions playing at the Apollo Theater

Perform pre-show microphone checks and make sure all audio equipment is functioning properly.

Prepare mic elements for actors to wear on stage.

Assist with audio turnover in between shows.

Work closely with the Production Stage Manager to ensure a successful performance.

Requirements:

Understanding of Yamaha QL5 or similar digital sound boards.

Understanding of wireless microphones, as well as how to adjust frequencies of mics during performances.

Excellent communication skills.
