To effectively and cost-effectively manage all LISD (and county-wide when directed) facility construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to ensure a safe and healthy environment for learning and teaching. Provide effective leadership and direction to custodial and maintenance staff to ensure district compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and a safe, conducive teaching/learning environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
Associate’s Degree related to Facilities Management (or other equivalent
qualification/certification)
MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
Ten (10) Years of Successful Work in Related Field
Five (5) years of Supervisory experience
Demonstrated computer and Technical Experience
Effective Written and Oral Communication Skills
Effective Human Relations Skills

Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/or Facilities Administration
Experience in Total Quality Management Administration

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, and REGISTRATIONS
MSBO Certification as a Facilities Director or able to obtain within two years of hire
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) State Certification
Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) Certification – State/Federal
Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Level S-5 Certified
Operator for Type II Drinking Water System
