BILT partners with leading manufacturers, retailers, and enterprise organizations to reduce support costs, improve customer experience, accelerate onboarding, and drive operational efficiency through immersive visual instruction technology.BILT is seeking a talented 3D Animator to create animated step-by-step assembly, installation, and maintenance instructions that meet strict BILT production standards. You will execute the complete 3D production process, including modeling, texturing, UV unwrapping, and animation, to bring complex procedures to life as interactive 3D Intelligent Instructions.You will partner closely with Instructional Designers, Subject Matter Experts, Quality Assurance, and Production leadership to deliver accurate, high-quality visual guidance for consumer, professional, and enterprise products.This is a hands-on production role for someone who can read technical documentation, apply mechanical reasoning, and translate complex written instructions into clear, meaningful animation.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret complex written assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair instructions and convert them into clear 3D animation following BILT standardsExecute all or selected stages of the 3D workflow, including modeling, texturing, UV unwrapping, lighting, and animation, in accordance with BILT standardsProduce step-by-step 3D Intelligent Instructions that meet BILT quality, style, timing, and technical specificationsCollaborate with Instructional Designers, SMEs, QA, and Production leads to ensure accuracy, completeness, and instructional clarityApply strong mechanical reasoning to visualize how products assemble, function, and are servicedManage multiple production assignments concurrently while meeting tight project deadlinesFollow established BILT production pipelines, file naming, asset management, and version-control practicesReview work against BILT quality standards and incorporate feedback from QA and production reviewsOptimize models, textures, and animations for performance across mobile, web, and spatial platformsSupport continuous improvement of production tools, templates, and animation techniquesMaintain organized project files and communicate status, blockers, and delivery timelines promptlyQualificationsProficiency in industry-standard 3D software (3ds Max, Maya, Blender, or equivalent)Strong skills in animation, modeling, texturing, and UV unwrappingAbility to read and understand technical instructions and translate them into accurate visual sequencesStrong mechanical reasoning and attention to detail with a commitment to qualityProficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight production deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervisionSelf-motivated professional with a strong work ethic, reliability, and punctualityLearning agility: rapid proficiency with new software and processes, with the ability to retain and independently apply lessons learnedPreferred ExperienceDemonstrable experience in 3D assembly, product visualization, or instructional animationFamiliarity with digital work instructions, 3D visualization, AR/VR, or interactive training contentScripting or technical art skills that improve production efficiencyExperience producing content for mobile, web, or spatial computing platforms in a high-volume production environmentSuccess MetricsOn-time delivery of assigned 3D instruction projectsFirst-pass quality and reduction of QA revision cyclesAdherence to BILT animation, modeling, and production standardsAccuracy of instructional sequences against source documentationThroughput and production efficiencyAsset organization and pipeline complianceEffective collaboration with Instructional Design, SME, and QA partnersContinuous skill development and adoption of improved production methodsWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment.
