Seeking a part-time contract Arabic Speaking Journalistic Storytelling Writer, the role will involve conducting interviews in Arabic and crafting compelling English-language stories that document the experiences of children and the community, aiming to inspire and challenge perceptions surrounding orphanages and vulnerable children.
Key responsibilities
Conduct interviews with organizational leaders, caregivers, staff, and children to gather stories
Transform interviews into polished narratives in English that reflect the authentic voices of the subjects
Document the organization's history and community life through a diverse range of storytelling styles
Required qualifications
Fluency in spoken Arabic, preferably Egyptian Arabic, with strong interview skills
Excellent written English with demonstrated experience in journalism or narrative nonfiction
Ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy and emotional intelligence
Experience in human-interest storytelling and the ability to connect individual stories to a broader mission
A warm, feminine storytelling voice is highly preferred
