Job TitleThe Waring Center for Public Archaeology is developing a five-episode stop-motion animation series exploring the field of archaeology.This position will support the creative and technical production of the series, including completing the design and fabrication of puppets, props, and sets using a variety of artistic techniques and materials. The position will also involve staging and lighting scenes, filming stop-motion animation, and editing the completed footage. If time permits, the candidate will work with the Waring Center Director/Curator to develop stories, scripts, and other creative concepts for future episodes. The Center also regularly carries out public outreach programming, and the candidate must also be comfortable occasionally speaking with visiting school groups and the general public. Other miscellaneous tasks may be required such as team-based monthly lab cleaning tasks and participating in a weekly Waring staff meeting.Living in Carrollton, "The City of Dreams," offers the advantages of city life with a small-town vibe.
