Social Media Manager

Own the day-to-day and weekly content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, and other priority platforms
Plan, shoot, and edit organic content (in-feed, Reels/TikToks, Stories) that reflects Harken's fun, deadpan, in-on-the-joke voice
Stay on top of trends, sounds, and formats, and adapt them quickly for Harken
Be secondary 'face of brand' to social community
Film and engage founder on content
Community & Engagement Manage community engagement - replying to comments and DMs in Harken's voice
Identify and build relationships with creators, brand ambassadors, and fans for organic amplification
Monitor social conversation and flag opportunities or issues to the team
Support paid social and campaign concepting alongside the Creative Director and marketing leadership
Coordinate social coverage for launches, events, and trade shows (e.g., Expo West, Sweets & Snacks Expo)
Partner with the ecommerce team to align social content with harkensweets.com and retailer.com pushes
Reporting Track channel performance and content KPIs, and share regular reporting with clear takeaways
Use performance data to continually refine content strategy
Qualifications 2-4+ years managing organic social media, ideally for a consumer brand (food/beverage or CPG a plus)
A strong eye for content - can shoot and edit short-form video that feels native to each platform
Excellent writing skills and a sense of humor; comfortable being funny and a little irreverent without losing the brand
Deep fluency in social culture and platform trends
Self-starter who can own a channel end to end in a small, fast-moving team
Experience with social scheduling/analytics tools
Harken is looking for a Social Media Manager to own our organic social presence end to end - planning, creating, and publishing content that builds word-of-mouth and makes Harken feel like a brand you hear about from a friend, not one that’s marketing to you. You'll be the daily voice of Harken across our channels, working closely with the Founder/CEO and our Creative Director to keep content fun, warm, and culturally relevant.
