Atlantic – an award-winning Off-Broadway theater and NAST-accredited acting school – seeks an experienced Literary Manager to join our dynamic artistic team. Reporting to the Associate Artistic Director and Artistic Director, this full-time position collaborates with and supports all matters related to the artistic life of the theater. Responsibilities include taking a lead role in literary/play development initiatives. The Literary Manager will run the Judith Champion Launch commissioning program and co-produce the annual MixFest series. The Literary Manager also interacts with all departments of the organization and provides a consistent artistic voice for development and marketing efforts.
Ideal candidate must be a skilled communicator with superior interpersonal, verbal, and written skills. One should have great time management, organizational and leadership skills with a minimum of three years of literary experience in not-for-profit or commercial theater. The candidate should also have experience cultivating relationships with artists and an ability to manage multiple projects at once. The candidate should have knowledge of a wide range of playwrights and have experience discovering emerging writers.

This is a full-time position with a salary of $60K per year (commensurate with experience) and a full benefit package including paid time off, health, dental and optional employee-contributed vision insurance, life insurance, long and short-term disability upon eligibility, an employee sponsored 401K plan, a Flexible Spending Account, and Transit Check Benefits.
