Clapper is a creator-first social media platform built around authentic connection, community, and giving people a fair opportunity to be seen and heard. Our platform brings together short-form video, live streaming, radio, and community features that help creators build meaningful audiences and earn from their work.
We are a lean, fast-moving team, and we value people who are curious, collaborative, comfortable with ownership, and excited to build. As Clapper continues to grow, we are looking for a senior marketing leader who can bring structure, experimentation, and strong storytelling to the way we attract and engage creators and viewers.
The Role:
We are looking for a Head of Growth Marketing to lead Clapper's growth strategy and execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be responsible first and foremost for driving measurable user growth across acquisition, activation, retention, re-engagement, referral, creator growth, and community growth.
This is not a traditional brand marketing or PR role. We are looking for someone who thinks like a growth leader and a builder: someone who can identify opportunities, form hypotheses, launch experiments quickly, measure results, learn from what works and what does not, and turn successful ideas into scalable growth engines.
The right person will be highly comfortable working alongside Product and Data, will have strong consumer and social-product intuition, and will use AI naturally throughout their workflow. Paid advertising is owned separately, so this role will focus primarily on organic, product-led, lifecycle, creator, community, partnership, content, SEO, referral, viral, and emerging growth opportunities.
What You'll Do:
- Own Clapper's growth strategy and roadmap, with clear goals and KPIs tied to measurable user and creator growth.
- Build a repeatable experimentation engine: identify growth hypotheses, design and launch tests, define success metrics, evaluate results, capture learnings, and scale what works.
- Continuously identify opportunities across acquisition, activation, retention, re-engagement, referrals, creator growth, community growth, lifecycle, content, and product-led growth.
- Partner closely with Product and Data to uncover growth loops within the product, improve onboarding and engagement, and bring strong consumer-product thinking into growth decisions.
- Prototype and ship ideas quickly when speed matters, including landing pages, growth experiments, workflows, internal tools, dashboards, or other lightweight solutions that help validate an opportunity before heavier investment.
- Use AI as a core part of the marketing workflow across research, analysis, content, experimentation, automation, personalization, prototyping, and reporting. Comfort with AI coding or no-code/low-code tools is strongly valued.
- Develop scalable organic growth engines through creator growth, referrals, viral loops, lifecycle marketing, community, content, SEO, partnerships, product-led opportunities, and new or emerging channels.
- Own Clapper's organic social strategy with a growth mindset, using content and channel performance to drive awareness, engagement, creator participation, and measurable business outcomes.
- Lead integrated growth campaigns that connect product initiatives, social, creator programs, partnerships, community moments, and external communications around clear growth objectives.
- Coordinate with Clapper's external PR partners by providing company and product context, setting priorities, reviewing messaging, and ensuring PR activity supports the broader growth strategy.
- Build clear reporting and measurement practices, communicate what moved, why it moved, what failed, and what should happen next, and use those insights to guide future investment and prioritization.
- Lead and develop the marketing team, setting priorities, coaching team members, creating accountability, and building the processes and capabilities needed as the function scales.
What You'll Bring:
- A proven track record of driving measurable user or customer growth, with the ability to clearly explain the metrics you moved, the actions you took, what worked, what failed, and what you learned.
- Strong experimentation instincts and experience using a hypothesis-to-test-to-measurement-to-learning approach to growth.
- Strong consumer and social-product intuition, with an understanding of how community, creator, social, or consumer products grow and retain users.
- A builder mindset: you are comfortable moving from strategy into execution, prototyping ideas, launching quickly, looking at the data, and iterating.
- An AI-native approach to work. You naturally use AI for research, analysis, content, experimentation, automation, personalization, prototyping, and problem-solving rather than treating it as an occasional add-on.
- Comfort with modern AI, coding, automation, or no-code/low-code tools used to quickly build or test growth ideas, workflows, dashboards, landing pages, or prototypes.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort defining KPIs, evaluating performance, identifying patterns, and turning data into decisions.
- Experience building organic or product-led growth strategies across channels such as lifecycle, referral, creator, community, content, SEO, partnerships, or similar areas.
- Experience managing and developing a team, including setting priorities, coaching, providing feedback, and holding others accountable for outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate recommendations clearly to executives and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities evolve and strong ownership, judgment, and speed matter.
- Bonus: experience with creator or community products, consumer mobile apps, lifecycle marketing, product-led growth, referral or viral mechanics, app growth, or creator-industry partnerships.
