Graphic Designer Job at Strive Math in New York

Graphic Designer

You will use your design skills to transform students' perceptions of coding and STEM worldwide. You will be responsible for visually portraying Strive in a way that shows kids that coding and math can be fun and joyful.
Strive is a young and well-funded startup, so you can define your own role within the company and grow into various areas depending on your passions and strengths.
Here are a few example tasks you'll take on:
Design marketing assets
Posters
Landing pages
YouTube thumbnails
Certificates
Literally anything public facing
Help define Strive's marketing strategy and brand guidelines
Ad-hoc graphic design tasks internally
Assist in content creation and content marketing
Assist with marketing activations
Bonus (The primary focus of the role is on marketing design, but if you want to push yourself, this can extend to UX/UI):
Help with website and app UX/UI
Assist in video marketing
Minimum requirements to apply:
At least two years of prior work experience in a similar role
Junior candidates can be considered as design assistants
An appealing portfolio that showcases your work
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Ability to convey design concepts to non-designers and convert other people's ideas into design workflows
Experienced in at least one of the following:
Adobe Illustrator
Figma
Canva
Preferred:
You have strong copywriting ability
You are able to design and build websites in Squarespace/Wix/Webflow
Experience with video editing
Experience in the education market
You know how to code
Logistics:
The role is a remote role for all countries worldwide
Preferred Locations: Asia/Singapore, South Africa, Europe (Candidates who can support the GMT+8 timezone within 9 am-9 pm SGT are welcome.)
This role is available as both a full-time role or as a part-time role with at least 20 hours a week commitment
