Design Director - Kids Sleep

Btween is looking to add a sleepwear design director to lead the design direction for their growing sleepwear business.
Responsibilities Lead the product design direction for the kids sleepwear lines at btween from Newborn to Big Girl.
Work with Merchandising to put together a line plan for upcoming season
Manage and lead the design team of cad artists, designers and print designers
Shop domestically and overseas to come up with elevated on trend product
Manage the approval process
Lead new concepts and trend direction
Present in buyer meetings and will be working working with buyers
Fabric research and development
Trim and GWP development
Will be asked to build out the team
Will be working cross functionally with all departments
Will be asked to shop competitvely, understanding competition, price points and voids and opportunities in the market
Qualifications At least 5 years as a senior designer or higher in kids sleepwear
Strong leadership ability
Eye for fashion and extensive product knowlege in sleepwear
Good communicator and presentor and creativity
strong management ability
Understanding of how to build lines and businesses
