Interaction Designer

Zof AI is hiring for this role in San Francisco, CA. This is a full-time opportunity for candidates who want to contribute directly to the development of ambitious AI products in a high-performance environment.

Daily use of AI tools for research synthesis, prototyping, and design iteration is required.

Responsibilities

Design the review experience where engineers accept, reject, or revise agent-proposed code changes.

Run research with engineers and QA leads to learn how trust in automation is built and lost.

Design how evidence, reproduction steps, and validation results are presented so review decisions are fast and informed.

Turn research findings into flows, wireframes, and interaction specs engineering can build from.

Prototype and test interaction patterns for agent status, uncertainty, and failure states.

Extend the design system with components and patterns for reviewing machine-generated work.

Partner with product and engineering from problem framing through shipped experience.

Use AI tools daily to compress the loop from research question to testable prototype.

Requirements

Experience designing complex product flows end to end.

A portfolio showing research that changed a design decision.

Working knowledge of research methods, from interviews to usability testing.

Ability to move from research to wireframes to interactive prototypes.

Familiarity with design systems and component-level thinking.

Comfort collaborating closely with engineers and designing for technical users.

Clear written and verbal communication.

Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

Experience designing for developer, technical, or enterprise tools.

Experience designing review, approval, or moderation workflows.

Familiarity with reading code or working in a Git-based workflow.

Some comfort prototyping in code or working in a front-end codebase.
