Assistant Director of Communications

To advance LGBTQ+ rights, the full-time Assistant Director of Strategic Communications and Content will develop and execute strategic communications, manage content creation, and foster media relationships in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities

Draft and refine a variety of written materials, ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging
Contribute to the development of messaging frameworks and communication plans that resonate with diverse audiences
Cultivate relationships with media professionals and manage press inquiries to enhance the organization's public profile

Required Qualifications

Six or more years of professional experience in communications, journalism, or public affairs
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Experience in developing messaging and narrative strategies that foster understanding
Strong understanding of the media landscape and ability to navigate a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated commitment to LGBTQ+ rights and racial justice, with preferred experience in legal or nonprofit communications
