Communications & Marketing Volunteer / Intern

The Worldview Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting greater cross-cultural awareness, understanding, and engagement, is seeking a Communications & Marketing Volunteer or Intern to help grow our Cultures in the Classroom program.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing while helping connect Cultural Ambassadors with elementary classrooms throughout San Diego. Working with our team, you'll help share the stories, impact, and opportunities that inspire curiosity, celebrate diversity, and bring the world into the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Create content for newsletters, social media, and LinkedIn.
Design and update Canva marketing materials.
Support website and email communications.
Share Cultural Ambassador and classroom success stories.
Help promote volunteer recruitment and school outreach.
Maintain a consistent brand across communications.
Time Commitment
5–10 hours per week
2x a month in the office

Qualifications
Create, edit, and proofread content for newsletters, social media, LinkedIn, and email communications.
Design and update Canva marketing materials and promotional resources.
Support website content updates and digital communications.
Share Cultural Ambassador stories, classroom impact, and program highlights.
Assist with ambassador volunteer recruitment, school outreach, and marketing campaigns.
Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all communications.
