Martin Grant Associates, Inc. · United States, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced, growth-minded PEO Business Development Executive to help expand its Professional Employer Organization (PEO) business throughout the Northeast and New England markets.

This is a consultative sales role focused on helping small and mid-sized businesses solve challenges across HR, payroll, employee benefits, risk management, and workforce strategy.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder who knows how to develop new opportunities, navigate a multi-step sales process, and build lasting partnerships with business owners and key decision-makers.

The position will focus on developing business across the region, with a strong preference for candidates located in Upstate New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who wants to join a growing organization with a broad range of solutions and resources behind them.

What You'll Do

  • Drive new business growth for the organization's PEO division throughout the Northeast and New England markets
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
  • Identify and connect with business owners, executives, HR leaders, and other key decision-makers
  • Prospect through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships
  • Conduct consultative conversations to understand each prospect's business and workforce challenges
  • Position PEO solutions across payroll, HR, employee benefits, risk management, and related services
  • Build relationships with internal partners and referral sources to uncover additional opportunities
  • Manage prospects throughout the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through proposal and close
  • Deliver presentations and proposals tailored to each prospective client's needs
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, prospect information, and sales forecasts
  • Consistently work toward individual sales and revenue goals
  • Stay informed on PEO, HCM, HR, benefits, and workforce trends that impact prospective clients

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience
  • Experience selling PEO, HCM, payroll, HR technology, employee benefits, or related business services strongly preferred
  • Located in or well-positioned to develop business throughout the Northeast and New England markets
  • Strong preference for candidates based in Upstate New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build a pipeline through proactive prospecting
  • Strong consultative and solution-based selling skills
  • Comfortable engaging business owners and executive-level decision-makers
  • Experience managing longer, multi-stage B2B sales cycles
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory and pipeline independently
  • Comfortable utilizing CRM, prospecting, and sales technology

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Opportunity to help grow an expanding PEO business across a key Northeast territory
  • Join a growing organization with an established presence in the HR and employee benefits space
  • Sell a comprehensive PEO solution rather than a single standalone product
  • Access additional capabilities across employee benefits, HR, payroll, and risk management
  • Opportunity to build relationships across an established network of internal partners and referral sources
  • Collaborative environment with resources designed to support business development
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on the continued growth of the PEO business

If you're a driven B2B sales professional who enjoys opening doors, building relationships, and helping businesses find better solutions for managing their people, we'd love to connect.
