Social Media Manager

IMH Fragrance · Columbus, OH, USA ·

Pay:
$52,000-$74,000/yr
Job type:
Full Time

We're looking for a Social Media Manager to own the day-to-day presence of our fragrance brands across social media. This role will be responsible for bringing our brands to life online through thoughtful content, consistent brand voice, strong community engagement, and a clear understanding of what resonates with our audiences.

You'll manage social platforms across multiple brands, build and maintain content calendars, coordinate with our creative and marketing teams, and work closely with our Influencer Specialist to make sure our organic social and creator efforts work together.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that social media is more than just posting. You should be equally comfortable planning a content strategy, writing a caption, responding to a customer, spotting a trend, coordinating content, and looking at performance data to understand what we should do next.

What You'll Do

Own the day-to-day management of social media platforms across multiple fragrance brands

Develop and execute the organic social strategy across TikTok, Meta, Reddit, and emerging platforms

Concept, film, edit, and publish platform-native video, feed posts, Stories, and other social content

Create elevated product, launch, event, and brand storytelling with engaging copy and visuals

Build and maintain social media content calendars that align with brand priorities, product launches, campaigns, retail moments, and cultural trends

Develop and execute organic social strategies that grow awareness, engagement, and brand affinity

Support the development of content strategies for each brand based on its audience, positioning, and goals

Write and edit social copy that feels authentic to each brand's voice

Coordinate with Creative, Marketing, Ecommerce, and other teams to source and develop social content

Help brief creative teams on social content needs, formats, trends, and concepts

Identify opportunities for real-time content, trends, cultural moments, and relevant conversations

Manage publishing and scheduling across social platforms

Own day-to-day community management, including comments, messages, mentions, and customer interactions

Maintain a consistent and engaging brand voice across social channels

Escalate customer issues, product concerns, or sensitive conversations to the appropriate team when needed

Partner closely with the Influencer Specialist to integrate creator content into broader social strategies and calendars

Coordinate with the Influencer Specialist on creator content, launches, campaigns, and social amplification

Identify opportunities to repurpose influencer and user-generated content across brand channels

Monitor social trends, competitor activity, emerging platforms, and changes in social behavior

Track social performance and provide regular reporting on engagement, reach, audience growth, content performance, and other relevant metrics

Use performance insights to make recommendations for future content and strategy

Help establish social media best practices, processes, and brand guidelines as the company grows

Support product launches, campaigns, events, photoshoots, and other marketing initiatives with social strategy and execution

Stay current on platform updates, new features, social formats, and emerging trends

What We're Looking For

2-4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency, consumer company, beauty/fragrance brand, or similar business

Demonstrated experience managing multiple social platforms and content calendars

Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other major social platforms

Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of how voice changes across brands and audiences

Experience with social media management, scheduling, and analytics platforms

Strong understanding of organic social strategy and content development

Experience with community management and customer engagement

Comfortable working with creative teams and providing clear content direction and feedback

Strong organizational and project management skills

Comfortable managing multiple brands, calendars, campaigns, and deadlines simultaneously

Ability to understand social performance data and turn it into actionable recommendations

Experience working with influencers, creators, or user-generated content is a plus

Experience in fragrance, beauty, cosmetics, fashion, CPG, or another consumer-focused industry is a plus

Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar content creation tools is a plus

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required
