Rcoz is a non-profit dedicated to mental health awareness, early intervention, youth programs, and community dialogue, with a strong focus on serving South Asian communities and youth.
Role Summary:
Rcoz is looking for a proactive and strategic Public Relations & Outreach Coordinator to help us expand our reach and impact. In this role, you'll play a key part in identifying and securing media and speaking opportunities, as well as outreach partnerships to promote our mission and programs. If you have a knack for storytelling, strong networking skills, and experience in PR or communications, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pitch speaking engagements, panel discussions, media opportunities, and outreach partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, media contacts, and event organizers.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and outreach emails.
- Monitor media coverage and track engagement from outreach efforts.
- Work closely with the Rcoz team to align PR efforts with ongoing campaigns and events.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in PR, communications, journalism, or media relations.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience pitching and securing media or speaking engagements.
- Must be located in the United States.
- References required prior to onboarding.
