A Line Boutique is changing the traditional face of retail by focusing on providing solution-based styling services and a rich community of events inside and out of the store. The driving cause behind A Line is transparency and authenticity. We want all women to simply try less and embrace their inherent beauty through the vehicle of fashion. It's not just about beautiful clothes, but the power of transformation and empowerment offered in well-styled and well-tailored garments. It's about self-expression and creating a community of support and celebration for women, their lives and how they evolve.
Job Description
This is a one-person marketing role responsible for owning, executing, and managing all marketing initiatives across A Line's multi-location retail operations (Colorado, Utah, and California). "Manager" here refers to managing the brand, campaigns, and creative output, not a team. The right candidate will independently drive strategy and hands-on execution, juggling multiple projects at once while maintaining brand consistency and community engagement across all locations.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, is proficient with marketing tools, is comfortable using AI tools to support editing, workflow efficiency, brainstorming, and reporting, and deeply understands A Line's mission of empowerment and authenticity.
Must reside in Salt Lake City, Utah to be considered because our owner and founder, Karmen Berentsen resides there. This role reports and works directly with her.
Job Responsibilities
Full ownership of A Line's Instagram account and partial management of owner's personal Instagram, maintaining brand voice, aesthetic consistency, and community engagement
Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms, including paid social campaigns and content calendar management
Create and manage email and SMS marketing campaigns using Klaviyo, including audience segmentation, campaign strategy, and performance optimization, as well as manage website updates via Squarespace
Design marketing graphics and event collateral using Canva or Adobe Suite for all promotional materials, events, and social content
Use AI tools to support day-to-day workflow — including editing and refining copy, brainstorming campaign and content ideas, and building performance reports and summaries — to work more efficiently without losing A Line's authentic voice
Identify, vet, and manage influencer/local partnerships for brand collaborations, trunk shows, and events
Willing and able to travel regulary — including to our retail locations in California, Colorado, and Utah, as well as to New York and Paris for market appointments and A Line experiences/events
Plan and execute events from concept to completion, including community events, trunk shows, brand partnerships, conferences and client experiences
Maintain marketing and event calendars to ensure alignment across all locations and initiatives
Coordinate with operations team on new product shipments, posting schedules, launch strategies, and event logistics
Communicate and collaborate effectively with high-end brands and external partners to amplify A Line's reach and community
Lead weekly marketing-focused team meetings with all stylists across locations, supporting their personal brand development and social media initiatives (not managing their accounts directly, but mentoring and inspiring)
Create original marketing content, including copywriting, visual direction, and brand storytelling that reflects A Line's voice of empowerment and community
Maintain A Line's brand positioning, voice, and aesthetic across all touchpoints and communications
Work closely with ownership and owner on marketing initiatives, strategic direction, and brand evolution
Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with the operations team, buyers, stylists, and leadership to ensure aligned marketing initiatives
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation commensurate with experience, knowledge and tenure
Annual and quarterly bonuses based on the achievement of KPIs and company goals
