Visual Design Principal

As a principal-level contributor on the Digital Product Design team, the full-time remote Visual Design Principal will shape visual and motion design for Ford and Lincoln experiences, establishing design principles and guiding high-quality product development across in-vehicle systems and mobile applications.
Key responsibilities

Set and communicate a clear vision for visual design aligned with brand and product needs
Lead the evolution of visual design and motion standards, ensuring cohesive experiences across touchpoints
Mentor and influence designers to enhance their skills and improve design quality across the organization

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, interaction design, or a related field
8+ years of experience in visual design and/or motion for digital products
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level visual craft and design systems
Experience defining and evolving design principles and guidelines across products
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
