Grist is seeking a reporter to cover the intersection of climate change and food & agriculture for a temporary, six-month period. You’ll produce 4-5 stories monthly (600–1,500 words) and work with editors, reporters, and artists to deliver timely, sharp analysis and context.
The role emphasizes equity and solutions-focused reporting, with coverage of USDA and state policy, emissions trends, and the evolving food system. Seattle base, but remote work is possible across the U.S.
