About the Job
Knife Drop Studios is looking for a full-time Senior Longform Editor to help bring our biggest stories to life.

As a key member of our post-production team, you’ll take the lead on editing long-form content from rough cut to final delivery: shaping stories, driving pacing, and creating videos that keep audiences watching. You’ll collaborate closely with the creative team, while also reviewing cuts, guiding revisions, and mentoring other editors.

Note: This role is remote/virtual. East Coast-based is preferred but not required!

Who We’re Looking For
As Senior Longform Editor, you will report to the Post Production Manager and work directly with Nick DiGiovanni, producers, and other production team members to accept and implement feedback. You will lead and mentor Editors and Associate Editors on the longform team, delegating tasks, providing creative direction, and ensuring deadline elements are met.

What You’ll Do

Edit high-quality, engaging long-form YouTube and digital content from rough cut through final delivery.

Shape compelling stories through strong pacing, structure, visuals, sound design, and creative decision-making.

Lead and provide creative direction to editors on assigned projects while maintaining a consistent quality standard.

Collaborate with producers and production teams to incorporate feedback and bring creative visions to life.

Create and integrate motion graphics, visual effects, color correction, and other finishing elements using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.

Manage multiple projects and deadlines while mentoring editors and maintaining a high standard of creative and technical quality.

What You’ll Bring

3-5+ years of professional editing experience

Expertise in the Adobe suite (specifically Premiere and After Effects)

Experience leading or managing other editors or creatives

Strong storytelling instincts, with a deep understanding of pacing, structure, and retention for YouTube

Fantastic attention to detail, especially when it relates to anything post-production

Ability to make complex 2D graphics that elevate stories and videos

Great organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with ease

A collaborative attitude and understanding of how to balance different perspectives on a team

A degree in film, video production, or a related field (preferred but not required)

At Knife Drop Studios, we offer our full-time hires:

Competitive salary

Generous medical, dental, and vision insurance

401(k) plan–company matching

Flexible vacation policy and paid company holidays
