Account Executive, Molecular

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an Account Executive, Molecular to drive sales of molecular diagnostic solutions to hospital and reference laboratories. You will own a regional territory, develop and execute account strategies, and build strong relationships with lab directors, clinicians, and procurement teams. Responsibilities include prospecting, delivering technical product presentations, managing evaluations, negotiating contracts, and achieving revenue and growth targets while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You will collaborate closely with marketing, clinical, and technical support teams to deliver impactful, patient-focused solutions and long-term customer value.
Responsibilities Drive sales of molecular diagnostic solutions within an assigned territory
Identify, qualify, and close new business with hospital and reference laboratories
Develop and execute strategic account plans to meet revenue and growth targets
Build and maintain relationships with lab leadership, clinicians, and procurement
Deliver technical product presentations and on-site demonstrations
Manage product evaluations and coordinate resources with clinical and technical teams
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements within company guidelines
Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting data in CRM tools
Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform sales strategy
Ensure all activities comply with healthcare, regulatory, and company policies

Clinical lab workflow understanding
Presentation & product demo skills

Clinical laboratory or molecular diagnostics background (e.g., MLS/MT ASCP)
Familiarity with FDA, CLIA, and CAP regulations
