POSITION SUMMARY:

Videographers work within the Menards Media Production team to shoot video, record audio, and prepare sets for Menards TV commercials; along with other media production projects
Primary Responsibilities:

Operating digital video cameras
Setting up camera stabilization and lighting equipment in the studios and on location
Building and staging sets, assembling products for shoots, and maintaining the studios
Directing talent
Uploading and backing up footage to shared storage systems
Coordinating with other Team Members and departments as needed
Skills and Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication, Advertising or Communications; an emphasis in Experience with digital cinema cameras and interchangeable lenses
DSLR photography experience, especially product photography
Thorough understanding of exposure controls including shutter speed, aperture, ISO
Knowledge of video formats, frame rates, codecs
Understanding of camera stabilization equipment including tripod, jib, slider, track, and gimbal systems
Proficiency with lighting equipment including diffusion, light stands, barn doors, scrims, gels and flags; ability to light a scene in a studio or on location, experience with 3-point lighting, and lighting for chroma-key shots
Experience recording audio in the field
Ability to direct talent a make creative decisions in a fast-paced environment
Should be hardworking, a self-motivator, and able to learn and take direction
Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to be accurate, have a good eye for details, and be creative with product shots
Experience working from a script, storyboard, shot list or creative brief
Home improvement and/or set building experience and ability to use power tools strongly recommended
Occasional heavy lifting required
Familiarity with Menards Stores and products very helpful

work within designated normal office hours - Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours/week -at the Corporate Office in Eau Claire, WI (remote work is not offered)
