Personal Injury Business Development | Legal Technology
Turn Your Personal Injury Experience into a Sales Career
Our client is a growing technology company that works directly with personal injury law firms, and we're looking for candidates who already understand the PI world.
Personal injury industry experience is strongly preferred for this search.
You may currently work inside a personal injury firm. You may have already transitioned from a law firm into sales or business development. Or you may currently sell a product or service to plaintiff attorneys.
The company can teach you its technology and sales process. What they're looking for is someone who already understands the PI environment, can communicate credibly with attorneys and law firm staff, and has the drive to develop new business.
Who We're Interested In
We're particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds such as:
Personal injury attorneys
PI paralegals and case managers
Business development or operations professionals within PI firms
Former PI law firm professionals who have transitioned into sales
Sales professionals currently selling technology or services to plaintiff law firms
Professionals from the broader PI ecosystem with established law firm relationships
Prior traditional sales experience is not required for candidates coming directly from a PI law firm, but you must have a genuine interest in developing a career in sales.
Responsibilities
This is a full-cycle business development position focused on generating new customers and revenue.
You'll develop relationships with plaintiff attorneys, law firm leadership, operations professionals, paralegals, and other decision makers. You'll be responsible for creating opportunities, conducting discovery conversations and product demonstrations, managing the sales process, and ultimately closing business.
You'll receive support through marketing, lead generation, referrals, and industry events, but you'll also be expected to create a meaningful portion of your own pipeline.
This is a hunting role. You need to be comfortable initiating conversations, prospecting, networking, attending industry events, and opening doors yourself.
Qualifications
Beyond PI experience, successful candidates should be:
Relationship oriented but comfortable pursuing new business
Confident communicating with attorneys and law firm leadership
Self-directed and comfortable working with autonomy
Competitive and motivated by measurable results
Comfortable with prospecting and rejection
Organized and persistent with follow-up
Comfortable networking and developing relationships in person
Curious and able to learn a sophisticated technology platform
Motivated by performance-based compensation
For candidates already in sales, we'll be particularly interested in your ability to personally generate new pipeline and win new customers , rather than primarily manage or expand existing accounts.
Compensation
Compensation will vary based on experience, sales background, PI relationships, and demonstrated production.
Target Total Compensation: $160,000–$250,000
Commission: Uncapped
Equity
Exceptional candidates with established PI relationships and a strong track record of generating new business may be considered above these ranges.
Benefits & Work Environment
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
Unlimited PTO
Equity opportunity
Primarily remote work
Regular customer and industry interaction
Travel generally a few days per month
A Different Way to Use Your PI Experience
If you understand personal injury, enjoy developing relationships, and believe you have the drive to succeed in a performance-based environment, this is an opportunity to use your industry knowledge in a different way while significantly expanding your earning potential.
