We're a well-established, founder-led food business in Connecticut looking for one person to own the production side of our social media content across two channels.
What you'll do
Edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) from start to finish. This is the core of the job.
Edit longer YouTube-style videos from longer recordings
Film on location with a camera and phone, with some shoots in person and some footage sent to you
Publish and schedule content natively on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, adjusting format, captions, and tone for each platform
Add captions and text overlays
Keep an organized content calendar and footage library
Keep up with trending audio and formats and pitch ideas for how we can use them
Take creative direction on voice and tone, with final approval from the founder
You're a fit if
Have a strong editing portfolio covering both short-form and longer-form video (short-form matters most)
Have hands-on editing experience in CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
Are comfortable filming with a camera and a phone, and can be on-site some days
Can find the story in raw footage and cut with good pacing
Know how each platform works, including what performs on TikTok versus LinkedIn versus YouTube
Are organized, reliable, and hit deadlines without being chased
Know which trends fit a food brand and which don't
Take direction well and still bring your own ideas
Nice to have:
food or hospitality content experience, scheduling tools like Metricool, clip-generation tools like Opus Clip.
