Technical Writer I

🚨 Technical Writer I – Pensacola, FL

A leading industrial organization is looking for a Technical Writer I to develop and maintain technical documentation supporting maintenance and operations.

📍 Location: Pensacola, FL 32514

⏳ Duration: 12 Months

💰 Pay Rate: $30/hr. – $35/hr. W2

What we’re looking for:

✅ 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment

✅ Strong technical writing and documentation skills

✅ Experience creating/updating user manuals, PM work orders, job plans, and technical documentation

✅ Ability to read and interpret OEM manuals, technical drawings, and schematics

✅ Experience with Maximo or other CMMS platforms preferred

✅ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools

✅ Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

✅ Ability to work hands-on in an industrial environment and safely access equipment

✅ Flexibility to work any shift, weekends, overtime, or short-notice schedules

Preferred:

• Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance trade certification/associate degree

• Experience standardizing PM programs or CMMS processes

• Knowledge of Lean Maintenance, RCM, or reliability methodologies

• Experience working directly with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and engineering teams
