To support daily editorial operations during a parental leave coverage assignment, the full-time Temporary Sports Editor will edit, publish, and optimize sports content across multiple verticals while working remotely on a contract basis for 40 hours per week, including Saturdays.

Edit, review, and publish sports content across various sports
Write and optimize compelling headlines to enhance audience engagement
Collaborate with staff writers and editors to support daily content creation
Required Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in sports journalism, content editing, or digital publishing
Strong knowledge of college football, with the ability to edit NFL and MLB content
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress
Familiarity with SEO best practices and audience analytics tools
Strong editorial judgment and ability to prioritize coverage opportunities
